Eric Haney was one of the original Delta Force operators. And if you don’t know what that is, I’m talking about America’s elite counter terrorist unit. These are the guys who go in and rescue hostages from terrorists (among other things.)
They are basically about as close as you are going to get to a superhero (minus the radiation infused super powers, lol.) But why do I bring them up to start this email?
Well, Eric Haney is a special case because he wrote a book about his experiences in Delta Force called “Inside Delta Force.” And in that book he talks about something called…
…instinctive fire.
It’s a special way of shooting a gun in close range combat that all Delta Force operators are taught. Basically it has to do with focusing on the target and not the gun sites…but more importantly…
…it is highly effective. More effective by far when you are shooting moving targets than “site” shooting.
But again…what the heck does that have to do with online business or marketing?
Well what if I told you that copywriting has its OWN version of instinctive fire? It’s absolutely true.
A form of persuasion and copy that is so effective, so downright convincing, that many of the greatest copywriters of all time have been known to fill over half their sales pages with them.
Of course…
…I am talking about none other than the famous (infamous?) style of bullet point copy.
Bullet points are important. IN fact Ken McCarthy, who you could argue is one of, if not THE most influential marketer of all time once said that:
“Writing bullets is the single-most important copywriting skill.” - Ken McCarthy
Over the course of the next 13 emails, we are going to be getting into this incredible subject. Because the fact of the matter is this…
…if you can write great bullet points, you are going to sell more of whatever you are trying to sell. If you can’t write great bullet points…
…then you are going to sell less. Probably a lot less. They are that persuasive when done right.
So over the course of these next 13 emails…I want to show you how to do them right.
That being said, obviously it’s important that you get all these emails I’m going to be delivering to you. So make sure you white list the emails coming your way from me.
Make sure you save these bad boys in a safe place. And make sure you got your big boy/big girl pants on, because we are going to be getting into it. No room for “wannabe” gurus or “always coming with an excuse” babies.
